Duchy – Harrogate

This handmade kitchen is designed to be the heart of the living space in this large house in Harrogate. Hand-painted Tempest blue by Fired Earth is the only colour used to create the strong but soft finish. Granite worktops and wood floors bring a sense of nature into the kitchen, paired with subtle copper accents to finish a modern classic and one of our favourite projects.

Oatlands – Harrogate

The redevelopment of this 1930s property in Harrogate was designed to bring the house into the 21st Century but maintain the character of the house. The bold contrast of Studio Green and Strong white bespoke units along with a simple but impressive white marbled quartz ties the modern look together. The understated bead on the shaker and the art-deco detailing on the skirting helps to link the modern kitchen to the style of the house. Dovetail drawer-boxes and Tongue & Grooved carcasses are some of the finer details, which work to make our handmade kitchens unique.

York Road – Knaresborough

The clients wanted a Handmade in-frame shaker to compliment the age of their house, but for it to be designed in a contemporary style to suit their lifestyle. Painted in Pavilion Gray with a sharp white quartz worktop the kitchen feels fresh and inviting. The use of studio height units can help provide useful storage and oven-housing space, without dominating a room.

Sometimes open plan living isn’t always possible, as in this case with the age and design of the Victorian house, the houses character would have been lost were it to have been knocked around too much. Adding simple double doors through to a sleek but classic kitchen help to create a sense of flow between the two rooms. The kitchen we installed here is our handmade in-frame shaker in Pavilion Gray and Manor House Grey by Farrow and Ball.

Old Cottage – Markington

One of our earliest handmade projects, a cottage refurbishment in the village of Markington. Muted tones and a clean, sleek design allow the traditional deep windows and beams to come to the fore in this understated design. A solid oak worktop on the island, reminiscent of a butchers table keeps the traditional feel of the kitchen present alongside the modern under-unit lighting and bright chrome handles.

The clients wanted to utilise as much space as possible whilst keeping the feel of the kitchen open and welcoming. To do this we took advantage of the generous space in the alcoves by making units to fit the space available. Using the dresser units to hide toasters, coffee makers and other essentials means they can be shut away for an instant tidy kitchen.
